I am supposed to be doing research for my report on business environment in Sub-Saharan Africa. However, I do not have a clue on what to do first. So, I’m taking a break to blog.
I’m in no doubt that almost every Malaysian should be aware that the hottest topic at this moment. It’s absolutely no other than the “ALLAH” issue. Thus, I don’t have to further elaborate that.
Frankly speaking, the moment I got a text message from Gerard around 3pm yesterday (right after I’m done with the bowling session with Maxim and her brother at Midvalley Megamall), I couldn’t believe it. I thought it was a prank till I got a text from girlfriend Angelina and later on, a call from Tina. It’s a confirmation then that Metro Tabernacle church had been burnt down by some morons. So far, there are four churches that had have been attacked. Metro Tabernacle in Taman Melawati being burnt down, Life Chapel in Section 17 suffered scorch marks, Assumption Church was not damaged and last but not least, today the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church suffered minor damage after the arsonists failed to set the fire.
I’m truly thwarted with what was going on. With the current situation, it’s tricky for Malaysians to achieve the 1 Malaysia goal and vision 2020. From my point of view, at first, I thought we can see some light at the end of tunnel. As for now I think that’s just an illusion. We haven’t even reach to that point where we can see the light. To reach the light and to see what’s ahead of the tunnel, the government and the people must work together. Of course, first thing first, we must overcome the issue of racism. Only then, the country can be progress into a first-world country with first class technology and all but certainly not with third-world mentality society living in it.
